OUR WARRANTY POLICY
Prime RV Caravan Warranty Policy
This Warranty Policy sets out the terms and conditions under which Prime RV (“the Manufacturer”) provides warranty protection for new Prime RV caravans purchased by the original owner (“the Purchaser”). By accepting delivery of a Prime RV caravan, the Purchaser agrees to the conditions and obligations set out below.
1. Warranty Statement
Prime RV guarantees that all new caravans are free from defects in material and workmanship, including internal and external construction, plumbing, and electrical systems, as at the date of delivery to the original purchaser.
2. Warranty Periods
2.1 Structural Warranty
Prime RV provides a two (2) year structural warranty from the date of original purchase, covering defects in the caravan’s primary structure only.
2.2 Component and Appliance Warranty
Equipment, fittings, and appliances supplied with the caravan, including cooking appliances, refrigeration units, entertainment systems, toilets, and tyres, are covered by their respective manufacturers’ warranties. Claims relating to these components must be made directly with the relevant manufacturer. Prime RV may, at its discretion, assist in facilitating such claims.
2.3 Chassis Warranty
The chassis is covered separately under the chassis manufacturer’s warranty. Prime RV does not provide chassis warranty outside that manufacturer’s terms.
3. Warranty Eligibility Requirements
To maintain warranty eligibility, the Purchaser must comply with the following conditions:
3.1 Authorised Servicing
The caravan must be serviced exclusively by a Prime RV authorised service centre. Warranty will not apply where servicing or repairs have been undertaken by unauthorised persons, unless Prime RV has provided prior written consent.
3.2 Annual Leak Integrity Test
A leak tight (water ingress) test must be performed at least once every twelve (12) months, as part of scheduled servicing, to ensure external seal integrity is maintained.
Failure to perform this test will void warranty coverage for leaks, water damage, and any resulting structural deterioration.
3.3 Service Book Record
The Purchaser must retain and present a service book stamped and completed at each service. Warranty claims may be denied where service records are incomplete, missing, or non-verifiable.
3.4 Maintenance Interval Recommendation
Prime RV strongly recommends caravan servicing every 3–6 months, particularly after frequent off-road or unsealed travel, to maintain sealing performance and prevent water ingress issues.
4. Warranty Exclusions and Limitations
This warranty will not apply where Prime RV determines that damage or failure has resulted from any of the following:
-
Use for purposes other than recreational travel.
-
Use as a permanent residence.
-
Commercial, rental, or hire use.
-
Accident, collision, or impact damage.
-
Towing by a vehicle not suitable or rated for the caravan.
-
Failure to service or maintain sealing and leak-proof integrity, including absence of annual leak testing.
-
Improper storage, including prolonged outdoor storage without adequate cover, resulting in water saturation, mould, or deterioration.
Prime RV will not reimburse unauthorised repairs unless prior written approval has been provided.
5. Damage Not Covered
The warranty specifically excludes damage arising from, but not limited to:
-
Normal wear and tear.
-
Fabric staining, fading, punctures, or deterioration of mattresses and soft furnishings.
-
Damage caused by unauthorised modification, alteration, or repair.
-
Interior damage caused by misuse or abuse.
-
Damage to appliances caused by incorrect voltage, electrical supply, overloading, or operation contrary to manufacturer instructions.
-
Water ingress damage caused by lack of maintenance, including failure to maintain silicone seals.
-
Any deterioration that Prime RV determines to be caused by negligence, improper care, or lack of routine maintenance.
6. Off-Road Caravan Warranty Conditions (where applicable)
Prime RV off-road caravans are engineered for limited unsealed road use, with increased chassis clearance and reinforcing. However, construction requirements and Australian gas safety standards limit the effectiveness of dust and water exclusion.
Under no circumstances shall the caravan be taken through water crossings at or above floor level.
The Purchaser must exercise appropriate caution when travelling on uneven, corrugated, or rutted terrain.
Off-Road Exclusions
The following are not covered under the Off-Road Warranty:
-
Stone, debris, or impact damage to the body, chassis, suspension, or running gear.
-
Dust contamination or ingress to internal components, fabrics, or storage areas.
-
Water damage from river or creek crossings.
-
Damage resulting from the dislodgment of appliances caused by excessive impact, harsh driving, or heavy landings.
-
Damage arising from misuse, neglect, or failure to adhere to servicing requirements.
-
Prime RV is not liable for damage caused by long-term water exposure, lack of maintenance, or failure to keep the caravan clean and dry. Any damage resulting from neglect will not be covered under this warranty.
7. Maintenance and Owner Responsibilities
The Purchaser acknowledges that the following maintenance items are the responsibility of the owner and are not covered under warranty:
-
Resealing of external joins, silicone maintenance, and sealing renewal.
-
Cleaning and washing to prevent water pooling and mould formation.
-
Leak testing beyond the annual mandated requirement.
-
Replacement of consumables and wear items.
Neglect and Water Exposure
Prime RV is not liable for damage caused by long-term water exposure, lack of maintenance, or failure to keep the caravan clean and dry. Any damage resulting from neglect will not be covered under this warranty. Routine maintenance is essential for warranty validity.

10. Reservation of Rights
Prime RV reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
-
Inspect caravans prior to approving warranty work.
-
Determine whether any claim arises from a manufacturing defect or excluded circumstance.
-
Amend this warranty policy without prior notice.
